NATO and NATO Sponsorship
In its role as the United States National Codification Bureau, DLIS
represents the U.S. at NATO and other international meetings related
to codification, including meetings of NATO Allied Committee 135 (AC/135).
Below is a list of NATO countries and countries that are sponsored
members of the NATO Codification System (NCS). Countries that are
sponsored have signed an agreement with NATO to exchange codification
data and to abide by the rules of the NCS. Among other things, the
rules require countries to protect sensitive and proprietary data.
As a result, sponsored countries are authorized to receive DLIS products
like FED LOG that contain restricted data.
